The United Way of Burlington & Greater Hamilton is committed to working with individuals and organizations in Burlington and Hamilton to make a real difference in the prevention and reduction of poverty, in the strengthening of neighbourhoods, and in supporting seniors. In 2009, over 218,000 people in our region accessed one or more of the 137 United Way funded programs and services being delivered through 75 community agencies.

McMaster University and the United Way share a long, successful and growing partnership. In 2009, the McMaster Workplace Campaign aimed to raise $225,000;McMaster faculty, staff, retirees and students united to raise over $250,000 to help people in Burlington and Greater Hamilton lead better, independent and more productive lives.
