NMOP Program Details
Program Duration:
The program consists of eight full-day sessions approximately every three weeks and a final half day session. The program is completed in six months.
Delivery Format:
Participants experience the program as a cohort which promotes and enables managers to build peer networks, share best practices and informally learn about other areas within the University. Sessions employ the use of proven adult education methodologies including small group discussion, self-reflection, role-plays, case studies, multi-media presentations and more.
Materials:
Participants receive a program binder along with materials at each session. Pre-assignments that may include readings, online assessments, reflective questions and website reviews are distributed via an online forum. The forum also provides an opportunity for participants to engage one another in online discussion about management and program-related topics.
University Presenters:
A variety of guest speakers ranging from senior leaders to unit managers deliver interesting and valuable presentations on critical “need-to-know” matters related to the University’s business, financial and human resources practices. Direct dialogue with these expert University leaders is a highlight of NMOP.
Attendance:
Attendance at NMOP is of critical importance. The program is highly interactive and full participation (including completion of pre-assignments) benefits everyone in the cohort. Pre-assignment preparation for each session may require 30 – 90 minutes depending on the session. Please review and complete the Participant Commitment/Supervisor Support Form.
