Message from the 2011 Children's Party Co-Chairs

Preparations for the 2011 Children’s Party have been well underway since the 2010 Party ended. As Co-Chairs, we would like to thank all those Committee members and volunteers who were involved with last year’s party – we can’t do it without you!

Thank you all very much and a complete list of the 2010 sponsors can be viewed here. A special thank you to our continuing sponsors - the Office of the President and Human Resources Services.

The 2011 Party promises to be ‘bigger and better’ yet again, but we have not increased the $15 ticket price, due to the generosity of some of our McMaster sponsors.

We have changed some of the entertainment but still retained some old favourites:

• The party will be held in the David Braley Athletic Centre Sports Hall on December 3, 2011
• FREE underground parking will continue to be provided with direct access into the venue
• Tickets will be available on the electronic pay-direct system
• Inflatables, crafts, games, entertainers, food and a few other surprises
• Appointments will be set up to visit Santa and make sure ‘letters to Santa’ are delivered

One of the major changes you will notice is with the ‘Food’. This year we will be providing ‘box lunches’ for the children. There will be refreshment and snacks for the adults. More information about this will be available when you purchase your tickets in October.

As we have said before, putting together an event of this calibre is a major achievement. The current Committee, who volunteer their services over and above their very heavy workloads here at McMaster work cooperatively with the Employee Recognition Unit.
