Deduction Information

Pay Category 1

TMG, CAW, Librarians, Temporary, Casual, Post Doc Fellow, Research Associates, Sessional Lecturers, Senior Administrative Officers and McMaster Affiliates (excluding Allergen & RMA)

To facilitate the transition to MacVIP, the following deductions will be reduced by 50% on the March 14th pay. The remaining 50% will be reflected on the first pay from MacVIP.

  • McMaster Credit Union
  • Pension
  • Optional Life
  • Long Term Disability
  • Employee Paid Health & Dental Costs
  • Parking Fees
  • Charitable Donations

Note: where the amount is based on a calculation, there may be a rounding variance (e.g., Life / LTD / Pension premiums)

 

How will monthly deductions be handled?

Any that are based on "monthly" fees, will be deducted from the first and second pay periods of each month.  These include such things as Credit Union, United Way donations, Parking fees, etc.  For the months in which there are three pay period end dates, the pay for this third period will not include these deductions.
