Welcome to the Events, Field Trips & Electives page. This page will help you if you are planning an event, participating in a field trip, or travelling for an elective.
For assistance in this process, please contact Environmental & Occupational Health Support Services (EOHSS) at or ext. 24352. Our office is located in Gilmour Hall, Room 304.
Event Planning
Are you organizing an event on-campus for a club or other group? Make sure you review the Student Event Risk Management Manual before you start, to ensure a safe and successful event.
Did you know that if you are conducting research with humans during a field trip you require ethics approval before you leave? Click here to find out more.
Please note: We are located in Gilmour Hall 304, if you would like your signed forms scanned to you please ensure you have provided your email address on the form.
All completed event forms must be submitted to the EOHSS office, A MINIMUM OF 5 BUSINESS DAYS BEFORE THE EVENT.
You must have the EOHSS signature in order to proceed with your event.
Here are the forms you will need to complete:
Complete this for ALL events - this includes tables & speakers. Please ensure that you have an event contact and that you have all of the necessary signatures before handing in your forms.
If you are renting a bus you need this form, you will need 1 monitor for every 25 people
You must complete this form if you are showing a film on campus.
If you are renting a bus that will be coming onto campus, you need this form.
Electives Involving Travel
Planning on traveling outside of Canada on an elective? Please review the Field Trips & Electives Planning & Approval Policy long before you plan on leaving.
