Every year, during the first week of May, corporations across North American come together to celebrate North American Occupational Safety and Health Week. The week was developed to bring more emphasis to Health and Safety initiatives and issues. Click here to find more about the history of NAOSH Week.

- Ladder Safety Training, 9am to 10am
- Machine Guarding, 10am to 11:30am
- WHMIS Core Training, 1pm to 3pm
- Fire Safety Training, 3pm to 4:30pm
Wednesday, May 6th
- Gas Cylinder Training, 2pm to 3pm

Thursday, May 7th

Award of Excellence in Health and Safety Contribution (2009)
And the winner is David Stevens
David has been an integral health and safety representative and worker co-chair on the Facility Services JHSC for well over a decade. He has diligently worked alongside both management and workers in developing and improving the department's standards, processes and recommended equipment; products and machinery to further enhance the quality of work; customer service; and most significantly the importance of health and safety for all workers, supervisors and customers. Congratulations David!
