Unpaid Leave of Absence
Please note, for leaves of absence less than one month in duration, it is assumed your benefit plan coverage will continue and the applicable deductions will be reconciled on your first pay upon your return to work.A personal leave may be granted for a variety of reasons for a period of up to twelve (12) months at the discretion and approval of his/her supervisor. Employees may opt to continue participating in the McMaster sponsored benefit plans provided they pay the employee and employer portions of the premiums.
For all leaves of absence (including those for under 30 days in duration), please fill out the Request for Leave of Absence form and forward to Human Resources Services.
