Clinical Faculty Benefit Plan

Effective July 1st, 2006 your benefit plan will incorporate the following improvement:

Paramedicals: $300 per person per benefit year with no per visit limit.

Long Term Disability (LTD)

The Clinical Faculty Association (CFA) and McMaster University are pleased to provide Clinical Faculty members with a Long Term Disability (LTD) plan that maximizes their disability coverage.

The LTD plan is provided through RBC Insurance and the CFA has retained the services of Charlie Cicero CFP, CLU, CH.F.C. to assist Clinical Faculty members meet their disability needs.

Important Note:  RBC Insurance requires advance notification for any Clinical Faculty members travelling outside of Canada to a High Risk Country for a continuous period in excess of 30 days.  If you are planning travel for over 30 days to a High Risk Destination, as listed by RBC at                                           http://www.rbcinsurance.com/business/group-insurance/travel-destinations.html.

What is a "Rolling Benefit"?

As a clinical faculty member you are entitled to $250 every 24 months for vision care (please see booklet).   Purchases equaling the total benefit amount may be made on separate occassions, however amounts are replenished 24 months from the puchase date. This is a "Rolling Benefit" because the purchase amount "rolls" 24 months from the date of purchase.
